Blackfield : DeadLine - Chapter 2
Episode 2. Blackfield.(2)
When Kang Chan regained consciousness for the second time, in addition to the back of his head and neck, his nose was extremely sore.
‘Please don’t call me but ask for water.’
After a moment of fuss, his mouth finally felt wet. Instead of adding water, they gave him a wet cloth.
How are you? Anything that could soothe my burning, cracked throat was fine.
“Maybe it’s because I’ve been working out, but I’m definitely fast.”
It’s a body that never goes away, but it’s the first time I’ve heard of a body that’s built on exercise.
But why do you speak Korean?
After sucking in a little bit of water, I felt like I came to my senses. Kang Chan tried to force his eyes open, and soon he was able to roll his pupils in his half-open eyes.
It’s a hospital.
Complexly connected machines were attached to each bed.
I also found out why my nose hurts. A large nozzle was connected through the nose and into the throat.
“Can you see me?”
Kang Chan nodded briefly.
One, two, three women. cut hair. short hair. And ponytails.
Height, chest, waist, hips.
He instinctively understood the other person’s characteristics.
A woman skillfully placed new gauze in my mouth.
“Tsk! “Ask for water.”
Who do these people know as trainees?
I put wet gauze in his mouth again, but it must have had an effect because he spit it out, and it was quite wet. After replenishing water twice, Kang Chan was able to come to his senses.
He moved his eyes for the first time and looked left and right.
“Where is here?”
“Have you come to your senses?”
Kang Chan nodded briefly.
“Do you remember what happened?”
Who do these people think are fools?
“know. So please loosen this neck.”
“Not the neck.”
A woman with curly hair and small breasts answered in a stern voice. There are no facilities like this in Africa, so it must have been moved by plane, so it must have been quite some time.
“It’s been a few days since I woke up, right?”
“Where is this place?”
“It’s Samjeong Hospital.”
Kurt’s head looked at Kang Chan with strange eyes. She looked to be about twenty-seven, had small eyes and a high nose, giving her a very sharp appearance.
At that time, a doctor wearing surgical gown came to his side.
“How are you feeling? “Are you in any pain?”
Eyes that were drooping from compressed lens glasses, and a chubby look, as if he hadn’t slept for two days, and he was in his early thirties.
“Let me release this.”
Kang Chan tried to move his neck.
“It’s better to wear a cast for the time being.”
As the doctor answered, the bell dinged.
“I hope your visit goes well, and your parents will be happy.”
parents? What parents?
After the doctor left, a little while later people started flocking in.
“Chan! “Our Chani!”
Permed hair, late 40s. Big eyes, slightly raised nose, and short stature. He has a dull look and is very gaunt. Madame?
“Can you see Mom? “Do you recognize Mom?”
Kang Chan blinked and tried to check the woman.
How should I accept this when a woman I don’t know comes running to me saying she’s my mother? She even wondered if it was a dream.
After the visit, two days passed and everything was confused for Kang Chan. What I have found out by asking again and again is that it is 2010, his name is Kang Chan, and he is a third year student at Shinmuk High School.
I fell from the roof of a 5-story school building, got caught on a tree, and ended up landing upside down on the floor, so I went to the hospital. Fortunately, I didn’t break any bones, but I have some kind of memory loss and symptoms of grandiose delusions.
Her father is Dae-kyung Kang and her mother is Hye-sook Yoo. He was an only child, he was good at studying, he was good at listening to doctors, and he liked sports so he did it consistently.
“Teacher, can you fix my son?”
Yoo Hye-sook wiped away her tears with a handkerchief. Sitting next to her was Kang Dae-kyung, who was tall and shameless, and she had the same sad expression on her face.
“It’s good that the cervical spine injury I was worried about was minor enough to be considered a miracle… … .”
Kang Chan’s doctor, Heo Ji-hwan, looked at the computer and then looked up again.
“Even psychiatrists say there is no solution right now. “I understand that you have amnesia, but you have severe delusions. I’m sorry, but it’s best to just embrace it and console it for the time being.”
Kang Dae-kyung comforted Yoo Hye-sook’s shoulders as she lowered her head.
Entering the green apartment in Nonhyeon-dong, Gangnam-gu, Kang Chan quietly followed Yoo Hye-sook’s lead. It was clear that he lived a fairly leisurely life, including the luxury car and the surroundings of the apartment.
After getting off the elevator, Kang Dae-kyung opened the door, and Yoo Hye-sook entered the entrance and led him to the room on the left.
Kang Chan entered the room and looked around.
“Do you remember? “It’s your room, right?”
Yoo Hye-sook shed tears again.
“It’s happening again. You’ll be fine if you rest for a while. “Rest.”
Kang Dae-kyung comforted Yoo Hye-sook and went outside.
A bed with its head next to the window, and a bookshelf and wardrobe on the opposite wall. And the desk where you could sit right at the entrance, and the computer on top of it were everything for living.
Kang Chan looked at himself in the mirror hanging on the wall.
‘Is it a dream? Is he dead? ‘What the heck?’
Now that I think about it, I didn’t really like how it looked.
He sat down at his desk and rested his head on his hands.
‘Did they curse you because they felt unfair?’
powwow? It’s funny. If there was such a spell, what kind of person would die and get away with it? Moreover, Kang Chan had the experience of seeing several shamans who had died with their heads cut off.
“I don’t know. Let’s get by for now. “Then you will find the answer.”
Kang Chan sat at the desk and searched through the drawers.
“This guy doesn’t even smoke?”
What he needed right now was a cigarette. As soon as they started searching, Kang Chan wanted to know who the owner of the body was, so he started looking through the desk and bookshelves.
He is about 179 cm tall and has quite a bit of muscle, so I don’t think he’s weak, but I didn’t really like his appearance. The slightly kind-looking corners of his eyes and the rounded tip of his nose that resembled Kang Dae-kyung were not his taste at all.
While Kang Chan was leaving, he opened the books on the bookshelf one by one. When the reference books, tutorials, and workbooks were repeated over and over again and he sighed, Kang Chan put his head down and looked at the book.
This was because, except for about 10 pages before and after the cover titled Math Solution, the remainder was full of miscellaneous notes.
[kill. I kill all those who harass me.]
‘This bastard too. ‘If you’re going to kill me, just go ahead and kill me. What if I leave evidence like this?’
Kang Chan sat down on the bed and decided to read it slowly.
[He brought me money today too. Although she exercised like that, she couldn’t do it because her heart was shaking and she was out of breath. Why do you do that? Am I really that stupid? Why do I feel so heartbroken and out of breath when I go in front of those guys?]
‘what? Is this really like bullying or something?’
[The other guys also curse at me knowing that I didn’t take a picture of Miyoung. It’s cowardly. It’s like that knowingly. I will kill them all.]
Kang Chan closed the book and threw it next to the bed.
Suddenly, I became more desperate for a cigarette.
It took a week for Kang Chan to finally get used to the apartment. Although he has a bidet and a water purifier, it took quite some time for him to learn how to use the smartphone he had in his hand. Of course, what helped him the most was television. Meanwhile, Kang Chan refrained from talking as much as possible and learned about the world by sitting in the living room after eating and turning the remote control around.
Kang Dae-kyung and Yoo Hye-sook just watched him intently, but they couldn’t hide their worried expressions. After a week, Kang Chan was able to properly learn how to use a mobile phone called a smartphone. Of course, there were many other things I was curious about.
‘Let’s leave it alone. ‘You just have to figure it out one by one.’
But I didn’t ask any questions. It was because the words ‘mom’ or ‘mother’ did not come out of his mouth.
It wasn’t until two weeks that I was able to somewhat adjust to life. Unlike the first week, the second week was mainly spent browsing the computer and the Internet, which was truly a new world for Kang Chan. However, she was particularly concerned about Yoo Hye-sook, who was okay with watching television, but using her computer.
That wasn’t something that Kang Chan cared about, so he slept less and enjoyed exploring the new world to his heart’s content.
After dinner and before going to bed, Kang Dae-kyung sat across from Yoo Hye-sook, drinking a cup of tea.
“Are you still digging computers?”
“I’m so worried I’m dying.”
“Just leave it alone. “Where did you come back alive?”
“I try to think like that, but it doesn’t work. Plus, his eyes are getting more scary as the days go by, so I’m worried about that too. What does it look like to you?”
Kang Dae-kyung pursed his lips together and took a long breath.
“I thought about that too. Sometimes, when you look at me, my heart flutters, ugh. It’s probably because the shock was so severe that the accident hasn’t gone away. This is the son who came back alive. For now, let’s just be thankful for that. You said that when you were in the intensive care unit, that as long as you survive, you will never worry about studying or anything again. So for now, let’s just have a grateful heart. huh?”
Yoo Hye-sook nodded with an expression that said she couldn’t do it.
Kang Chan was in front of the computer.
Conflicts in Africa from 2005 to 2007.
However, Kang Chan could not obtain any special information. He could not find any records of French mercenaries, and beyond that he searched through detailed directories and found nothing.
“Let’s figure it out one by one slowly.”
Since he wasn’t expecting to get anything right away anyway, Kang Chan took a breath and slowly typed the next sentence.
But then, his smartphone beeped briefly. It was the first time the phone rang since he got it, so Kang Chan quickly picked it up.
It was a text message under the name ‘Lee Ho-jun’.
Ugh. Ugh. Ugh.
That was when he tried to check the text message. Three more messages came in succession.
[Sigh. You said you came home? But you don’t report it? Do you want to die? Call me quickly.]
[You know what happens if you chew my words, right? Don’t fuss and call me right away. I also brought back the money that had been delayed for the past month.]
[hey! Call me! I will kill you!]
[hey! Don’t you call me?]
Kang Chan chuckled as he checked the text message. Anyone who wants to make a phone call should do so first, but I didn’t understand why they were making such a fuss about calling, and on the other hand, the content was funny.
‘Are you saying that the father or mother had no idea that their son was being treated like this?’
[You fucking bastard! Why did you delete the text message? Why don’t you install Text Talk soon? Make a phone call first.]
Kang Chan decided to make a phone call first. When he touched the blue picture shaped like a phone, fast music similar to what he heard on television played. But immediately the music stopped and a curse began to flow out.
– hey! Strong praise! 이 개새끼야, 너 뒈지고 싶어?
Kang Chan stopped laughing. It was the first swear word I had heard in nearly seven years. If the members of the rescue team had heard this, he would not have believed it at all.
– Did you laugh? This bastard’s head exploded and he turned completely upside down! hey! hey! Don’t you answer?
– Yeah, you bastard. Are you coming to your senses now? You idiot needs to answer quickly. hey! Have you prepared the money?
– under! Is this John Mann crazy? Did you come back from the hospital and find that your liver was swollen? I wonder if my liver is swollen because I took the medicine and got the injection, you fucking idiot!
– Is this guy really turning his head? You come out!
“Kid, it’s night so I’ll see you tomorrow. Where would you like to see it?”
– Hey, you fucking bastard!
Kang Chan laughed because he was really cute. If he wanted to, he wanted to go out right away and see what kind of guy he was, but he didn’t want to explain to Kang Dae-kyung and Yoo Hye-sook that he was going out this night. As Kang Chan laughed into the phone, Lee Ho-jun started swearing like crazy.
“Stop it and call me tomorrow.”
Kang Chan hung up the phone and immediately turned off the power.
“Phew… … “What kind of life have you been living?”
He looked at the mirror hanging on one side of the room and shook his head.
The next morning.
While eating, Kang Chan looked for an opportunity and then opened his mouth.
“I will go out for a while today.”
Perhaps surprised that he opened his mouth first, Kang Dae-kyung suddenly asked a question, and Yoo Hye-sook stopped chewing and looked at him.
“I just want to meet some friends and look around.”
“okay! That’s good too. That’s how it should be. “My father goes to work, so I can get some pocket money from my mother later and get some fresh air.”
That was the end of the conversation, but the excitement and worry on Kang Dae-kyung and Yoo Hye-sook’s faces did not disappear until the meal was over.
When Kang Chan returned to his room and turned on his phone, about 50 texts with truly incredible content poured in.
This one was so shocking that I laughed.
After the number of texts vibrated, Kang Chan made a call. But strangely he did not answer the phone.
“What are these?”
He was looking at his phone and muttering to himself.
[Please come to school before class ends.]
A short text message appeared on the phone.
